The 2023-24 NBA season rolls on with four games on the Thursday night slate, and we've got you covered with some can't-miss bets for the action. Let's check out three player props we're betting Thursday night in the NBA.
Seriously? We're still going to line Maxey this way after his start to the season?
In the first three games of the year, Maxey has finished with 43, 47 and 40 points + rebounds + assists. His 26.1 percent usage rate is the highest of his career, and it's going to stay that way now that James Harden is officially off the roster.
Maxey put up 34 points, seven assists and six rebounds against the Toronto Raptors a few days ago, and there's no reason he won't be able to put up another gaudy stat line Thursday night.
Markkanen has been on a shooting tear to start the season. The Utah Jazz forward is averaging 23.8 points per game while shooting 47.7 percent from the field and 46.7 percent (!) from three. That's impressive, sure, but it's clearly not sustainable.
If Markkanen is going to have an off scoring night, it's going to come Thursday against an Orlando Magic team that ranks second in the NBA in points allowed per game and 27th in pace.
The San Antonio Spurs don't have a true point guard in their starting lineup. Jeremy Sochan started the season as the initiator of the offense, but Collins is slowly starting to take over that role.
Collins has gone over 3.5 assists in three straight games, and he's averaging 8.0 potential assists per game. This game against the Phoenix Suns features the highest total on Thursday night's slate, so there will be plenty of opportunities for Collins to dish out some dimes.
