The 2024 offseason quarterback carousel took a fun turn Friday morning when a former quarterback for the Cleveland Browns signed with the New Orleans Saints. The Saints lost their long-time backup quarterback, Jameis Winston, to the Browns in free agency this March.
Following Winston’s departure to the Browns, the Saints had Jake Haener and Nathan Peterman to backup Derek Carr for the upcoming season. The Saints added another quarterback to compete for the QB2 role for the 2024 campaign.
According to Ari. Meirov with the 33rd Team, the Saints signed quarterback Kellen Mond their roster.

Mond was a standout at Texas A&M. The Minnesota Vikings selected him in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. The Vikings released him during training camp before the 2022 season. He spent the 2022 regular season with the Browns. He was on the Colts practice squad from October of the 2023 season until January.
Mond is 2/3 passing for five yards in his three-year NFL career.
Here are the initial reactions to Mond joining the Saints.
Would be a good move if they moved him to TE

Not sure about signing Mond. The Saints really need a more proven QB to spark the offense.
