Marco Parolo Heaps Praise On Inter Milan CEO: 'Marotta Starting New Winning Cycle Like At Juventus'

Former Lazio midfielder Marco Parolo lauds Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta for his instrumental role in the team’s triumph.

The Nerazzurri enjoyed a historic week, beginning on Monday with their triumph in the Derby della Madonnina. They beat their crosstown rivals AC Milan by two goals to one to mathematically secure the Scudetto title.

This was the club’s 20th league title, therefore, they managed to celebrate their second star in front of their defeated rivals.

Nevertheless, Parolo opted to focus on the man behind the scenes while analyzing Inter’s golden moment.

The former Italy international hailed Marotta for kickstarting a winning cycle at Inter similar to the one he created during his time at Juventus.

“Inter have already signed two players [Zielinski and Taremi]. Last year they did the same and they knew they were selling Onana,” noted the former Italy international during his appearance on DAZN via FcInterNews.

“Marotta had opened a winning cycle at Juventus in the past. Now, he’s starting another one at Inter. The only doubt is the possible sacrifice of a big player.”

Marotta served as Juventus general manager between 2010 and 2018. He was the architect behind the Bianconeri team that dominated the Italian landscape for nine years in a row.

After ending his stint in Turin due to disagreements over the club’s strategy, he made the switch to the Nerazzurri.
